L&N Depot unveils May poster in “Save the Depot” campaign

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – As part of their year-long “Save the Depot” campaign, today the Historic Railpark and Train Museum in Bowling Green unveiled the fifth poster in the 12-part series.

The May poster serves as a nod to the Depot’s endowment fund and the generation of that campaign.

The poster is similar to the previous four in that it goes back to recognizing all of the community effort that took place during World War II.

The poster displays the words, “We Will Keep Them Rolling,” and for the Depot, that means keeping their door open for business in the future.

After unveiling their fifth poster, Executive Director of L&N Depot Jamie Johnson gave an update on how the campaign is going through five months.

“Now that we are five months in, we’ve had a lot of great things come about through this campaign,” said Johnson. “We’ve had a lot of new memberships come in. We’ve had a lot of outreach from people in the community wanting to help us, looking for different ways, different things that they could do. We also made an announcement [Wednesday] that we will be putting $5,000 into our endowment fund, so that’s really exciting for us.”

Bowling Green Hot Rods General Manager Eric Leach and Hot Rods mascot Roscoe were the guest presenters of the poster.

The Hot Rods will be hosting a “Save the Depot Fundraiser Night” on Friday, June 28.

They will be selling $10 tickets, and half of that will go towards benefiting the Save the Depot campaign.
