Lisa’s 5th Street Diner offering free Thanksgiving meal

BOWLING GREEN, Ky.-For those without family around, or who just can’t afford a Thanksgiving meal,  head over to Lisa’s 5th Street Diner in Bowling Green on Thursday.

The restaurant will be offering free Thanksgiving meals to everyone. They’ll be serving all the holiday staples including turkey, ham, dressing, green beans and mash potatoes.

It’s a full spread and there’ll be plenty of people to enjoy it with. Last year more than 300 people showed up to enjoy the feast.

For owner Lisa Parker, it’s all about getting into the giving spirit of the season.

“There’s so many families out there. I know when I was growing up we struggled. So, I just don’t want anybody to be hungry without food,” said Parker.
The diner will be serving food from 11 a.m. to about 1:30, or whenever food runs out.

Teresa’s Restaurant in Bowling Green will also be offering free meals to the community from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
