Lincoln County deputy charged after alleged misconduct

STANFORD, Ky. – A Lincoln County deputy was arrested following a misconduct allegation.
According to a release, the Kentucky State Police Drug Enforcement Special Investigations Branch began an investigation into Lincoln County Deputy Ron Luster following a misconduct tip in January 2026.
KSP notified Lincoln County Sheriff Shawn Hines of the allegations on Feb 3.
KSP says Sheriff Hines cooperated and assisted with the investigation.
Hines was suspended immediately, according to the release.
KSP says Luster was charged with tampering with physical evidence, abuse of public trust, and first-degree official misconduct.
Luster was arrested and lodged at the Pulaski County Detention Center.
The investigation is ongoing.
