Lily’s Ranch and Rescue in Auburn seeks donations for upgrades
AUBURN, Ky. – An Auburn-based rescue that’s been around for a few years now is looking for contractors or anyone interested in helping a few animals in need.
Lily’s Ranch and Rescue, a pillar in the Auburn community for wild and farm animals, is asking for support. The barn where it houses new additions and the ones that need more medical attention needs a few upgrades, according to the rescue.
Laurie Beattie, president of Lily’s Ranch and Rescue, said, “So this barn has been here for over 100 years. It has survived many tornadoes. So it’s in its bones. We just need to update it, and so we really need to revamp all.”
From renovating the roof, the stalls that house the animals and even making changes to the storage space, the rescue says this could help the staff treat the animals more efficiently.
Madelynn Rodcay, the vice president and barn manager, said, “We have four stalls currently, but we think we have room to make five. We just really want to get all five stalls renovated, updated and we need some more like equipment to make it safer.”
Updates and repairs to this barn won’t just help the pigs, the chickens and the horses. It can help save their lives.
Without support from contractors, the staff at the rescue say they will be forced to make due, and the animals may go without.
