LIHEAP Program deadline approaching
BOWLING GREEN, KY.- Community Action of Southern Kentucky is offering its annual LIHEAP subsidy program across the region.
The program helps eligible households with heating costs, including electric bills. However, the deadline to apply for the fall subsidy is quickly approaching.
Applications are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
“It’s very important for families to reach out to our community action offices right now to apply for LIHEAP in order to help them with their heating cost,” Sandy Hagans with Community Action of Southern Kentucky in Barren County said. “We have cold weather already coming in, and more cold weather coming this weekend.”
The deadline to apply is Friday, Dec. 12. Residents are encouraged to contact their local Community Action office. More information is available on the Community Action website.
