Lightning strike leaves portion of Glasgow without power

GLASGOW, Ky. – A lightning strike has left a portion of Glasgow without power.

According to a social media post by the Glasgow Electric Plant Board, lightning struck equipment at the intersection of Reynolds Road and Happy Valley Road.

GEPB says crews are on the scene and working to restore power to the northwestern portion of its electric service area.

Several traffic signals are disabled, according to the Glasgow Police Department.

No approximate time was given for the completion of repairs.
