LifeSkills receives $491,000 grant to improve telehealth services

BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- A south central Kentucky mental heath provider is receiving tens of thousands of dollars to improve its telehealth services.

Rep. Brett Guthrie’s office announced that Lifeskills will be getting a $491,000 grant from the Federal Communications Commission.

The grant is funded by the Coronavirus Aid, Relied and Economic Security Act (CARES). The money will be used for equipment upgrades and telehealth software.

According to Guthrie, telehealth has become incredibly important during the pandemic and the need for quality mental health care has increased during the crisis.
