Lexington police seeking details in decades old missing teen case

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) – Lexington police are searching for a teen girl who disappeared nearly three decades ago.
Lydia Perkins, then 14 years old, vanished in 1997. She was last seen in her home.
Sunday marked the 28th anniversary of her disappearance.
Lexington police shut down a local park for several hours to conduct a new search.
Perkins’ brother says over the years, the family has received little information relating to her disappearance.
Police say the case remains an active missing persons investigation.
Authorities are asking the public for any information related to Perkins’ disappearance.
