Lewisburg man charged with unlawful imprisonment, terroristic threatening

LEWISBURG, Ky. – A Lewisburg, Kentucky man is charged with unlawful imprisonment after a welfare check.
The Logan County Sheriff’s Office says it responded to the 100 block of Cherry Street in Lewisburg on Friday to complete a welfare check.
Deputies say the Horn Lake Mississippi Police Department had information about a female that was potentially being “held against her will” at the location.
When authorities arrived, they say 31-year-old Scott Cruit told them a female was inside of the apartment and was ok.
Deputies say they then entered the home and found a female in the back bedroom, who told them Cruit had shoved her and told her “not to make any noise” while refusing to let her leave the room.
While inside of the apartment, authorities say they located methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia in plain view, later resulting in a search warrant.
Cruit was arrested and remains as of Monday afternoon at the Logan County Detention Center.
He faces charges of third-degree terroristic threatening, second-degree unlawful imprisonment, endangering the welfare of a minor, first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, first offense (less than 2 grams of methamphetamine), first-degree possession of a controlled substance, first offense (methamphetamine), trafficking in marijuana, first offense (less than 8 ounces), possession of marijuana, first-degree possession of a controlled substance (drug unspecified) and drug paraphernalia – deliver/manufacture.
