Lemonade stand donates proceeds to local fire department

WARREN COUNTY, Ky. – On a critical day, one group stepped in to show appreciation for local first responders.

The Plano Fire Department is thanking a group of children after they donated the proceeds from their lemonade stand.

Officials say the children were hosting the lemonade stand in the Plano area when a missing person search was underway.

On July 3, firefighters say the local children saw them searching, which lasted around 12 hours.

The department is sending out a huge thank you for the gesture. News 40 thanks the community for showing support to our first responders with the Plano Fire Department.
