Leitchfield man accused of selling meth
BROWNSVILLE, Ky. – An Edmonson County Sheriff’s deputy arrested a Leitchfield man Sunday on a drug trafficking charge following a traffic stop.
At about 5 p.m., a deputy stopped a car with cancelled license plate driven by Charles D. Ford, 50, on Ky. 259 N. in Bee Spring, according to a release from the sheriff’s office.
During a search of the vehicle, the arresting deputy said he found suspected methamphetamine, suspected marijuana and several different forms of drug paraphernalia, according to the release.
Ford was charged with failure of owner to maintain required insurance, careless driving, first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, trafficking in marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and persistent felony offender.
Ford was lodged in the Hart County Jail.
