LEGO Club meets at Warren County Public Library’s Smiths Grove branch
SMITHS GROVE, Ky. – In Smiths Grove, the Warren County Public Library is hosting a unique opportunity for kids to showcase their creativity.
The LEGO Club meets every Thursday from 4 to 4:30 p.m. at the Smiths Grove branch.
This is a great opportunity for kids to not only build things they’re interested in. It also helps them build friendships and communication skills that will be valuable to them later on in their life.
“I’ve seen a lot of kids improve in their building. I’ve also seen them improve socially… communicating with one another… even basic ones, like asking ‘Hey, I need this kind of part. Can you help me find it?’ and that’s sometimes a big deal for some kids to go out of their comfort zone like that,” Haley Lee, LEGO Club leader at the Smiths Grove branch of the Warren County Public Library says.
The club is hosting a LEGO party on July 13th, which is set to include members of the Tennessee Valley LEGO Club that will judge the creations of the local members in Warren County.
