Legacy Christian’s Micah Brown signs with Brescia Men’s Basketball
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The signings carried on Thursday evening at Legacy Christian Academy where senior Micah Brown signed to further his basketball career after graduation.
The big man is headed to Brescia University to join the Bearcats in the River States Conference.
Brown originally grew up playing football, but then he moved to LCA where he found a love for hoops and was able to find his footing under the Eagles coaching staff.
Fast forward to his senior year, Brown made great strides as a force in the paint and led his team in blocked shots.
After signing, he spoke on the growth his game has seen and why Brescia felt like the perfect fit for him.
“ I was not super good eighth grade year, you know, I was big, had the size, I just didn’t have a whole bunch of skills. So, over the years, I was learning better touch around the rim, better rebounding, getting down there doing what I needed to do,” Brown said.
“I like the small atmosphere. I like that a couple Legacy players are there already, some people I know, some familiar faces. [Eli Hays] himself is a Legacy alumni, so I should be able to get there and kind of go with the flow.”
