Leaders approve tuition increase for in-state Western Kentucky University students

BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- At Friday’s Western Kentucky University Board of Regents meeting, university leaders approved a tuition increase for Kentucky undergraduate students.

Beginning with the fall 2019 semester, tuition for those students will increase by 2%, or $100, to $5,401 per semester. Nonresident and international undergraduate rates will remain unchanged.

Also at the meeting, Regents approved a one-time $40,000 bonus for University President, Timothy Caboni and a $66,000 salary increase for Athletic Director Todd Steward, who will now make $270,000 per year. Stewart’s raise is coming from private funds donated to the Hilltopper Athletic Foundation.
