Law enforcement agencies uncover suspected drug ring during investigation in Logan County

ADAIRVILLE, Ky. – Two individuals are arrested following a multi-county drug ring investigation.
According to a release from the Adairville Police Department, multiple law enforcement agencies launched a narcotics investigation titled “Operation Easter Basket” following a well-being check in Auburn.
Adairville Police Chief Aaron Ashby says 22-year-old Jeremy Green, of Glasgow, was arrested after Ashby and Auburn Police Officer Charles Wethington saw Green pacing between vehicles and Casey’s Gas Station on Friday evening.
Ashby says he observed an open alcoholic beverage in Green’s vehicle. Green was driving on a suspended license from a previous DUI.
Following Green’s arrest, a search of his vehicle yielded $1,010 and three cellphones.
Green was lodged at the Logan County Detention Center.
Ashby says a search warrant for the cellphones was obtained, and investigators found communication on an encrypted app.
Investigators say messages between Green and 35-year-old Jordan Bailey, of Auburn, described an alleged sale of a quarter-pound of marijuana for $925.
Green allegedly admitted to delivering marijuana to Bailey at his home on Howlett Drive in Auburn. Green says Bailey contacts him weekly to purchase marijuana for resale in Logan County, according to the release.
Ashby says a search warrant was executed at Bailey’s home on April 4. Officers located a “large amount” of suspected marijuana, suspected cocaine, an unspecified drug, U.S. currency, drug paraphernalia and multiple firearms.
The Glasgow Police Department searched Green’s home in Glasgow and located “several more pounds” of suspected marijuana and 75 THC vape pens, according to the release.
Bailey was arrested and was lodged at the Logan County Detention Center.
Green is charged with trafficking in marijuana (greater than 5 lbs.), 1st offense (multiple counts); trafficking in marijuana (8 oz. to less than 5 lbs.), 2nd or greater offense; driving on a dui-suspended license, 1st offense; possession of an open alcoholic beverage container in a motor vehicle; and drug paraphernalia – buy/possess. Additional charges in Barren County are expected, according to the release.
Bailey is charged with wanton endangerment, 1st degree (related to three juveniles in the home); possession of a controlled substance, 1st degree (cocaine); possession of a controlled substance, 1st degree (drug unspecified); trafficking in marijuana (8 oz. to less than 5 lbs.), 1st offense; and drug paraphernalia – buy/possess.
