Lady Toppers sign two for 2026
WKU Athletics Press Release

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – WKU women’s basketball head coach Greg Collins has announced two signees for the 2026 class. Jamila Ray and Elise Coleman will join the Lady Toppers for the 2026-27 season.
“Both Elise and Jamila are outstanding in the classroom and high character young ladies who’ll represent WKU well,” said Collins. “They’ve played for great high school programs and highly competitive summer teams.”
Coleman is a senior at Floyd Central High School and is a native of Georgetown, Indiana. The 6-foot guard recently reached 1,000 career points in high school. She is a letterwinner in basketball, softball and volleyball and was named the News and Tribune Multi-Sport Athlete of the Year.
“Elise is a versatile, skilled, high IQ winner,” said Collins. “She’s a very successful multi-sport athlete. She’ll bring a tremendous work ethic and passion to our team. Plus, based on her flag football success, Elise will be our best wide receiver on our roster!”
Ray is a 5-foot-10 guard from Orlando, Florida. She will play her senior season at Monteverde Academy, the same high school current Lady Topper Caleigh-Rose West attended. She spent her first three years at Dr. Phillips High School, where she helped lead her team to a state title in 2024 and a runner-up finish in 2025. As a junior, she averaged 12.7 points and 6.3 rebounds per game.
“We are thrilled to add Jamila ‘JD’ to our team,” said Collins. “She’s a driven competitor who’s in the gym more than anyplace else! She’s a terrific combo guard who’ll add quickness and depth to our guard corps.”
