Labor Day Coronavirus Update

Governor Beshear did not hold a press conference today due to the labor day holiday, but provided a limited update on the battle against the coronavirus here in the bluegrass. 

An additional 291 cases reported by the governor today, bringing the statewide total to 53,064. 

The good news reported today is that there are no new deaths to report, keeping that statewide total under one thousand at 996. 

Weekends and holidays are traditionally the days with the fewest reported cases, as many labs do not report on those days.

The Barren River District Health Department will not be providing an update on coronavirus numbers in our local area today due to the labor day holiday.
