KYTC Secretary addresses Warren County Fiscal Court

BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- The Secretary of the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet made a stop in Warren County Monday morning.

Secretary Greg Thomas made remarks at Monday’s Fiscal Court meeting.

Thomas is on a statewide listening tour, seeking input from local officials on pressing transportation infrastructure needs.

He spoke for about five minutes before taking a few questions from Magistrates. Some of the issues addressed included the ongoing construction on the Natcher Parkway near I-65 and the repairs of several county bridges.

“We want to be really cognitive of addressing the critical priorities with constrained funding that we all encounter, both at the county and local level, as well as the state level,” said Thomas. “Together, we can partner and hopefully address the critical priorities, so we want to hear from local folks.”

Joe Plunk, the chief engineer for District 3 of the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, which includes Warren County, also took questions from magistrates.
