KYTC District 3 hosts public meeting on roundabout project at Veterans Memorial Lane and Victoria Street

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet hosted a public meeting to talk about an upcoming project that could affect your daily commute.

The plan is to turn the intersection at Victoria Street into a roundabout, and modernize the area from Victoria all the way to Clay Street.

The funding for the project was received through a Reconnecting Communities grant the City of Bowling Green applied for and received… and public information officer Wes Watt says this project is much needed for the area.

“There are a number of businesses and residential areas that are separated by a five lane highway… and what this project will do is it will certainly help reconnect people to both those areas in a much safer way than it is now,” Watt says.

Construction is expected to begin in the summer of 2026, with completion expected by the fall of 2027.
