Kummer-Little Recreation Center opens a warming center for cold temperatures
BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- As temperatures were predicted to drop as low as 10 degrees Monday, the Kummer-Little Recreation Center opened its doors to serve as a warming center for those who wanted to get out of the cold.
The recreation center welcomed anyone from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday who needed a warm place. Hot coffee, snacks and hand and feet warmers were provided to those who wanted them.
BG Neighbors and Hotel Inc. also helped by providing lunch for those in the warming center.
Warren County Public Library’s free little shuttle is also available for transportation to these warming centers throughout the week as needed.
If temperatures continue to drop to 35 degrees or below this week, Wellness Connection will also be a warming center from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday this week.
