KSP’s Cover the Cruiser to support Special Olympics Kentucky

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Kentuckians can team up with the Kentucky State Police to support Special Olympics Kentucky from April 17 through April 25.

KSP troopers across the state will set up at local businesses, inviting the community to cover cruisers with donations.

For a minimum of $1, you will receive a custom icon of the KSP and Special Olympics Kentucky logos. You can put your name on it or an encouraging message and tape it directly onto the cruiser.

• April 21
  Pikeville/Post 9 – Walmart; 254 Cassady Boulevard – 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  Hazard/Post 13 – Walmart; 120 Daniel Boone Plaza – 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
• April 22
  Murray/Post 1 – Pocket’s Shell Station; 1102 Octane Dr. – 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  Barbourville/Post 10 – Walmart; 301 Parkway Plaza – 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  London/Post 11 – Walmart; 1851 KY-192 W. – 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Now in its sixth year, officials say Cover the Cruiser has raised over $67,000 since its launch in 2020.
