KSP troopers patrol extra for impaired drivers on Labor Day

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Kentucky State Police is encouraging you to plan a safe ride home as you celebrate Labor Day.
KSP troopers say they will be out patrolling extra for impaired driving.
In addition, the agency says it will have traffic safety checkpoints at certain locations to discourage unsafe driving habits. Troopers will also check for operator impairment, vehicular equipment deficiencies (confirming appropriate registration and insurance of vehicles) and valid driver’s licenses.
This will apply to all areas covered by KSP Post 3, including Allen, Barren, Butler, Edmonson, Hart, Logan, Simpson and Warren counties.
