KSP Troopers give kids early Christmas during Shop with a Trooper

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Kentucky State Troopers are giving more than tickets tonight.

Instead, they’ll be giving several kids a chance to receive early Christmas gifts.

They will also spend time with the law enforcement officers that keep them safe.

Shop with a Trooper gives kids, who may be economically challenged,  a positive outlook on law enforcement officers.

Tonight at 6:00 p.m., KSP troopers will participate in their largest shop with a trooper event at Meijer in Bowling Green.

The kids can get anything from clothes, toys, personal hygiene items, and other necessities.

Chick Fil’ A is also providing dinner for the kids.

What’s left over from Cram the Cruiser will also provide the families a dinner.

This is all made possible by donations from local businesses and organizations, and it’s 100% volunteer effort.

Trooper Jeremy Hodges tells us this will be their biggest event yet.

Shop with a Trooper gives kids a role model and sometimes a friend for life.
