KSP provides reminder of traffic safety checkpoints in Post 3
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Kentucky State Police wants to remind drivers that it may conduct periodic traffic safety checkpoints.
The Kentucky State Police says it uses traffic safety checkpoints to promote safety for drivers and to discourage violation of laws.
According to KSP, checkpoints aim to focus on operator impairment, vehicular equipment deficiencies (confirming appropriate registration and insurance of vehicles) and the valid licensing of drivers. Other violations of law and/or other public safety issues that arise will be addressed.
Post 3 serves Allen, Barren, Butler, Edmonson, Hart, Logan, Simpson and Warren counties.
