KSP Post 1 searching for man suspected of assault

GRAND RIVERS, Ky. – Kentucky State Police Post 1 is asking the public for assistance in locating a man suspected of an assault.

KSP says a man fled the scene of an assault at Twin Lakes Campground in Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area (LBL) on Saturday just before 7 pm.

Police say the man, identified as Nicopolis English, 45 of Paducah, committed an assault on a woman in which she sustained a minor injury to her head.

English has yet to be apprehended at this time.

Police say English is described as a black male, approximately 5’10” tall, and weighs approximately 140 pounds.

English fled on foot in the direction of Grand Rivers. Police say English has previous convictions for assault and assault-related charges.
