KSP investigating possible drowning death

BUTLER, Ky. – Kentucky State Police is investigating a possible drowning death in Pendleton County.

On Monday, KSP Post 6 says it responded to a possible drowning after a citizen reported seeing a body in floodwaters. The body was wearing a life jacket.

KSP says the Pendleton County Search and Rescue Team recovered the body of Robert E. Singleton, 66, of Butler.

The investigation is ongoing.

The City of Butler ordered a mandatory evacuation to residents on April 4 at 4 pm due to historic flooding. The mandatory evacuation was lifted at 4 pm on Monday.
