GRAND RIVERS, Ky. – A crash is under investigation in Livingston County after multiple vehicles were involved Monday.

K105 reports that three people died as a result of the collision, including two children.

The Kentucky State Police says it responded to Interstate 24 westbound near the 31 mile marker.

More here.

According to K105, troopers said they learned through an investigation that a 2022 Kenworth tractor-trailer driven by 24-year-old Mansur Kholikov, of Brooklyn, New York, was traveling west on I-24 when traffic slowed in a construction zone at the Tennessee River Bridge.

Authorities say the tractor-trailer did not slow down, striking multiple vehicles and causing secondary collisions that impacted fire vehicles.

State police say one vehicle caught fire.

Three people in the vehicle, including 68-year-old Saundra Dodd, of Evansville, Indiana, along with two children, died at the scene.

Two people in other vehicles were flown to hospitals out of state, troopers say. Multiple other crash victims were taken to local hospitals.

The driver of the tractor-trailer was uninjured.

The investigation remains ongoing.
