KSP investigates fatal ATV crash in McCreary County

WHITLEY CITY, Ky. – A 19-year-old is dead as a result of an ATV crash this past weekend, police say.

The Kentucky State Police says it responded Sunday just after 12:30 a.m. for an ATV crash on Jellico Creek Road in McCreary County.

Troopers learned through an investigation that Ivan R. Vanover, 19, of Whitley City had been involved in the incident, police say.

Due to the injuries he sustained, authorities say Vanover was pronounced dead by the McCreary County Coroner’s Office.

The investigation is ongoing.
