KSP donates more than 300,000 pounds of food through its annual Holiday campaign

FRANKFORT, Ky. – An annual holiday initiative is giving back in a big way.
Governor Andy Beshear announced that the Kentucky State Police “Cram the Cruiser” drive collected 306,961 pounds of food this holiday season.
“Kentuckians always show up for one another, and this year’s response to the ‘Cram the Cruiser’ drive is another powerful example of that spirit,” said Gov. Beshear. “These donations will help thousands of families enjoy a more hopeful holiday, and I’m deeply grateful to everyone who contributed.”
All 16 Kentucky State Police posts participate in the statewide initiative to assist local shelters, food banks and community organizations.
“Cram the Cruiser” was launched in 2010 and has collected over 3.5 million pounds of food.
