KSP: Bowling Green Man Arrested on Drug Charges

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WNKY) – A Bowling Green man is facing multiple drug and firearm-related charges following an investigation by the Kentucky State Police.

According to Kentucky State Police Post 3, troopers received information that led investigators to 51-year-old Scotty Deel of Bowling Green. Following a preliminary investigation, troopers obtained a search warrant for Deel’s residence in Warren County.

Police say the search resulted in the seizure of 106 marijuana plants, drug paraphernalia, a digital scale and multiple firearms.

KSP says Deel was later arrested in Barren County, where troopers allegedly found methamphetamine and a handgun in his possession.

According to the Warren County Regional Jail website, Deel has since been released from custody.

In Warren County, Deel is charged with cultivating marijuana involving five or more plants, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

In Barren County, he is charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance.

Kentucky State Police say the investigation, led by Trooper Slate Dalton, remains ongoing.
