KSP and Prevent Child Abuse Kentucky educate on safety through coloring book
SOUTH CENTRAL KENTUCKY – It’s Child Abuse Prevention Month and organizations are partnering together to help teach children ways to avoid abuse with a coloring book.
Prevent Child Abuse Kentucky and the Kentucky State Police are coming together to spread awareness to children and adults.
A coloring book about two K-9 officers teaches kids what red flags to watch for and the information you shouldn’t share with strangers that they could meet online.
Jill Seyfred, the executive director of Prevent Child Abuse Kentucky, says, “As it relates to kids being online, we know that there’s so much that we as adults don’t know that kids know. It is important that we make sure that kids are aware.”
Seyfred also says KSP and Prevent Child Abuse Kentucky will give out coloring books during presentations throughout child abuse prevention month.
