KSP: 1 dead following collision in Whitley County

WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. – The Kentucky State Police has confirmed one man is dead as a result of a collision in Whitley County.
According to KSP, troopers responded Thursday at about 11:30 a.m. for a two-vehicle wreck at the intersection of Cumberland Falls Highway and Angel Road.
Police say they learned through an initial investigation that a 2019 Chevrolet Colorado driven by Ralph Lyttle, 86, of Williamsburg was turning left off of Angel Road when he drove into the path of a 1998 freighliner empty log truck traveling south.
Lyttle sustained life-threatening injuries as a result of the crash.
He was pronounced dead by the Whitley County Coroner’s Office.
This investigation is ongoing by KSP.
