A special ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place at 9 a.m at the newly remodeled store at 2945 Scottsville Road.

Around 40,000 square feet were added to expand the store and the project created approximately 40 new jobs.

The expansion represents a $13 million investment in the community.

Features of the store include the addition of a Starbucks; expanded Deli/Bakery; Murray’s Specialty Cheese Shop; Fresh Sushi; Service Meat and Fresh Seafood Shop; new Floral Shop; expanded Produce, Dairy and Frozen Food sections; expanded Natural and Organics selection; a remodeled pharmacy; expanded Health & Wellness section and new checkout stands.

The location will also continue to offer a fuel center and soon The Little Clinic will open inside the store.

As part of the grand re-opening, Kroger will donate $5,000 to Feeding America of Kentucky’s Heartland to support the Warren County Backpack program. The program provides food to school-age children in need. The gift supports the Kroger Zero Hunger | Zero Waste initiative which is the company’s commitment to end hunger and waste in our communities.
