Kroger customers fund over 15,700 holiday meals through Food Angel Tree program

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Kroger has announced that the 2025 Food Angel Tree program has raised the equivalent of roughly 15,700 meals for families in need this Christmas.
According to The Kroger Co., this was made possible thanks to the generosity of Kroger customers in middle and east Tennessee, southern Kentucky and north Alabama, who raised $392,843.
This was the 11th year of Kroger’s partnership with The Salvation Army on the Food Angel Tree program.
The Kroger Co. says the campaign ran from Nov. 9 through Dec. 28. Each customer had the opportunity to buy a $25 Food Angel at the checkout.
“We are incredibly grateful for the outpouring of support from our customers,” said Lauren Bell, head of communications and public affairs for the Kroger Nashville Division. “For 11 years, this program has allowed us to stand alongside our communities in a meaningful way. Providing more than 15,700 meals this year alone reflects the compassion and generosity of the people we serve.
Funds raised through the program support regional Salvation Army offices, including in Alabama, Bowling Green, Hopkinsville and Clarksville, Tennessee.
The contributions help provide Christmas meals while also supporting year-round programs, according to The Kroger Co.
