Knob Lick man arrested after driving illegally in a truck reported stolen in Warren County

BROWNSVILLE, Ky. – A Metcalfe County man is charged with stealing a vehicle and drug possession
According to the Metcalfe County Sheriff’s Office, deputies conducted a traffic stop on KY 218 near the Center community after observing a truck with multiple equipment violations on Sunday evening.
The driver of the truck is identified as 44-year-old Steven R. Garmon of Knob Lick.
During the investigation, deputies say it was confirmed that Garmon was driving on a suspended license due to a DUI.
Deputies say further investigation revealed the vehicle was reported stolen by the Warren County Sheriff’s Office on Oct. 7, 2025.
During a search of the vehicle, deputies located suspected drug paraphernalia.
Garmon was arrested and transported to the Barren County Detention Center.
He is charged with receiving stolen property $1,000 > $10,000, driving on a DUI suspended license, possession of drug paraphernalia, prescription controlled substance not in a proper container, and numerous traffic violations.
The investigation is ongoing.
