Kentucky woman indicted after being accused in her child’s murder

WASHINGTON COUNTY, Ky. – A woman is formally charged in the murder of her child after reportedly fleeing Kentucky.
According to a report by K105, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office states 51-year-old Latashia Mullins of Springfield, Kentucky, was previously indicted in June 2023 on charges of murder and first-degree criminal abuse, victim under the age of 12, in the death of her child.
However, Mullins fled to Texas after that indictment, K105 states.
Authorities say they received a tip on her location, where law enforcement and the U.S. Marshals Service arrested Mullins in Plano, Texas on June 10, 2024.
Mullins since was returned to Kentucky, where she was again indicted last month on the same charges from 2023, according to K105.
Mullins remains incarcerated on a $500,000 cash bond.
