Kentucky veteran celebrates turning 100

LOUISVILLE Ky. (WLKY) – On Sunday, friends and family of World War II veteran Arthur James Wissing gathered together to celebrate him.

He enlisted in the Army Air Corps at just 17 years old and went on 38 missions as a nose gunner.

He has five children, 15 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren.

Wissing says his secret to a long life is gratefulness.
