Kentucky transportation crews shift focus to potholes due to recent weather
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – After a week of frigid temperatures, heavy flooding and winter weather conditions, transportation officials say many Kentucky roads are in need of repair.
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet District 3 stated Monday that the harsh winter conditions have created potholes throughout the District 3 area.
Transportation officials say crews will shift their focus in the upcoming days and weeks to repair these locations.
Drivers should remain aware of crews and response vehicles as the work. Pop up closures are also possible across the district.
In addition, drivers are encouraged to have patience and drive with caution if they approach a pothole repair lane closure.
Officials say crews will return later in the spring to make a longer-lasting repair. To report a pothole, click here.
