Kentucky technical colleges will host learning session about employee job training

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – On June 22, the workforce solutions division at each of the state’s schools within the Kentucky Community & Technical College System will host a call in learning session for employers to become educated on the training opportunities available within the community college system.

This Propel Kentucky Workforce includes South Central Kentucky Community and Technical College right here in Bowling Green.

Businesses will hear testimonials from other businesses and industries the college is already partnering with in hopes of gaining new partners.

The schools’ main goal is to teach businesses about the the training they offer for employees. Along with the college’s broad degree programs, this specific workforce solutions division goes a step deeper.

Companies can talk with the staff and explain exactly what skills they need their workers to have. This could range anywhere from operating machinery, welding, commercial drivers license certifications, industrial maintenance and more.

In the two days of open registration, they have already had 120 companies register for the zoom. The last 30 minutes of the event will be specifically to connect businesses with their specific college workforce solutions division.

The workforce event takes place over zoom on June 22 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Additionally, the colleges are currently freezing their tuition at $4,296.
