UPDATE: Man arrested and Charged; Kentucky State Police searching for person of interest in murder investigation

UPDATE: Kentucky State Police arrested Clayton D. Cox. He is charged with murder and tampering with physical evidence. The case is still under investigation.
LIVINGSTON, Ky. – The Kentucky State Police is conducting a murder investigation after it responded for a welfare check on Sunday in Rockcastle County.
According to a release, troopers received a call from Rockcastle County 911 for a welfare check on Goochland Cave Road. Troopers say they located a dead male, identified as 43-year-old Joshua L. Dooley of Mount Vernon, Kentucky.
Dooley had apparent gunshot wounds, authorities say. He was pronounced dead by the Rockcastle County coroner.
Troopers say Dooley’s body has been taken to the State Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy.
Currently, troopers say they are searching for 49-year-old Clayton D. Cox of Mount Vernon, who is a person of interest. Troopers say not to approach Cox and believe he may be armed and dangerous.
