The Cover the Cruiser campaign made a stop at the Casey’s General Store on Sugar Maple Dr.
The event was part of a week-long benefit taking place in cities and towns across Kentucky. It was planned when the annual Special Olympics Law Enforcement Torch Run was canceled due to COVID-19.
For four hours Wednesday, KSP troopers sold $1 stickers to be placed on a police cruiser. People wrote their names on the stickers.
All the proceeds go to Special Olympics Kentucky.
Trooper Daniel Priddy said just under $500 was raised from the event in Logan County.
