Kentucky State Police locate infant reported missing from Missouri

HICKORY, Ky. – The Kentucky State Police has found an infant safe after they say the child was reported missing out of Missouri.

According to authorities, KSP Post One dispatch received information from the Cape Girardeau (Missouri) Police Department about a missing infant on Nov. 17 at 10:46 a.m. that was believed to be at a residence in the Hickory community in Graves County.

Troopers say within less than 20 minutes, they located the infant.

Authorities say the infant was found safe, along with her mother, at a home in Hickory.

The infant has been safely transferred to the Missouri Department of Social Services, authorities say.

The child’s mother, identified as Taylor Roldan, 29, of Cape Girardeau, Missouri was arrested and charged as a fugitive for a warrant issued by authorities in Missouri for parental kidnapping.

Roldan was transported to the Calloway County Jail and is awaiting extradition to Missouri.

KSP troopers worked in collaboration with Missouri law enforcement, Missouri Department of Social Services and Kentucky Department of Community Based Services in this case.

The child was also provided with a Trooper Teddy Bear, which is part of a program that provides a stuffed bear to children that have experienced traumatic events.
