BURKESVILLE, Ky. – Multiple people are facing charges after an investigation in Cumberland County.

According to the Kentucky State Police, troopers served a warrant for the arrest of 32-year-old Oscar Farley on Wednesday evening at a Veterans Street residence in Burkesville, Kentucky.

At this time, troopers say Farley attempted to flee but was apprehended, and authorities observed Farley’s small child in “less than satisfactory living conditions.”

Farley was arrested, and the child was left in the care 41-year-old Dewey McCoy of Burkesville.

Later, troopers say 33-year-old Tamara McCoy of Burkesville arrived and approached troopers in an “aggressive and disorderly” manner while holding her child at the Cumberland County Dispatch Center.

Troopers say they safely secured the child with the help of a family member, and both Farley and Tamara McCoy were lodged at the Adair County Detention Center.

Troopers say they later searched Farley’s residence on Veterans Street.

While there, troopers say they located methamphetamine, multiple items of drug paraphernalia and further evidence of poor living conditions for the total of three children that lived there.

On Thursday evening after obtaining arrest warrants for Dewey McCoy, Tamara McCoy and Oscar Farley, troopers say they located Dewey McCoy at a residence with the homeowner, 39-year-old Brandon Polston of Burkesville, along with 55-year-old Matthew Riley of Burkesville.

Troopers say during a search, they located around 6.2 ounces of suspected methamphetamine, 18 grams of marijuana, 128 dosage units of Suboxone, cash and drug paraphernalia.

Dewey McCoy, Brandon Polston and Matthew Riley were arrested and lodged in the Adair County Detention Center. All three are charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, greater than 2 grams, trafficking in marijuana, less than 8 ounces and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Dewey McCoy is also charged with second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, greater than 20 dosage units and prescription/controlled substance not in proper container.
