Kentucky State Police investigating fatal shooting in Morgantown

MORGANTOWN, Ky. – The Kentucky State Police is investigating a fatal shooting in Morgantown.

According to KSP, just before 7 a.m. Tuesday, troopers were requested to assist the Morgantown Police Department regarding a shooting incident.

Authorities say troopers arrived on scene on West Morrison Street and located a male with life-threatening injuries.

Troopers say that individual was pronounced dead by the Butler County Coroner’s Office at the scene.

The investigation is ongoing. News 40 will provide further details as they are released.
