Kentucky State Fair ham auctioned off for $10.5 million

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WLKY) – The ham auction returned this year for a good cause at the Kentucky State Fair.
WLKY reports during this year’s Kentucky Farm Bureau Country Ham Breakfast, the Grand Champion Ham was auctioned off for $10.5 million.
That’s a $500,000 increase from last year and $5.5 million more than two years ago.
The money goes to a charity chosen by the winners. The ham weighs 18.2 pounds.
