FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) — The Kentucky Senate has passed a measure to ban TikTok from state government-issued devices. The action reflects bipartisan concerns about the Chinese-owned social media app. The bill cleared the Kentucky Senate on a 31-0 vote Friday. The vote sends the bill to the House. It reflects a growing push among American lawmakers to block the social media platform from government devices, based on cybersecurity concerns. In Kentucky, state Sen. Robby Mills says the measure is a “prudent” step in responding to those security concerns. The Republican lawmaker is the bill’s lead sponsor.
