Kentucky sees best year for tourism in 2022, generates high economic impact

BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- Kentucky tourism is making history and reaching new heights across the entire state. The state has invested millions of dollars in the tourism industry in 2022.

From bourbon, horse races, and all kinds of outdoor adventures, tourism is booming. Governor Andy Beshear’s investment is paying off.

It’s not only adding to the economy, it’s also becoming a necessity to increase public school wages and provides more jobs to locals in every community.

“Tourism is essential to Kentucky. It’s an industry that brings joy to families across the globe including my own, but it also brings in good jobs. It boost our economy. It supports our local communities, and the folks who fuel this industry in Kentucky work really hard for success for all of our communities,” according to Gov. Beshear.
