Kentucky Reports Third Highest Increase in COVID-19 Cases

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Governor Andy Beshear reported the third highest increase in Covid-19 cases on Friday with an additional 531 cases over the last 24 hours, which brings the total number of cases in the state to 21,605.

6,772 individuals have now recovered from the virus, while eight more Kentuckians have died, which brings the total number of deaths across the state to 653.

In all, a total of 522,267 tests have been administered throughout the state.

Locally, Warren County reported 23 new cases since Thursday, which brings that county’s total to 1,864.

New cases have also been reported in Barren, Hart, Logan, Simpson and Allen counties.

In all of these counties combined, 81 people have died from the virus, which is an increase of seven over the last 24 hours. A total of 2,378 individuals have fully recovered, which is a number that continues to increase each and every day.
