Kentucky nurses head to North Carolina to assist at hurricane shelters

BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- The Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services announced Wednesday that nurses from around the state will head to North Carolina to help victims of Hurricane Dorian.

The nurse “strike team” left for North Carolina Wednesday morning.

The team consists of registered nurses and administrative staff members. They will be working in shelters located in areas impacted by the storm.

The team will be on the ground there for about two weeks.
