Kentucky Museum rolls out the Adopt an Artifact program

BOWLING GREEN Ky.-The Kentucky Museum is giving everyone a chance to help preserve its artifacts.

It’s being done through a program called Adopt an Artifact. Anyone can make a donation toward any Kentucky Museum Artifact, and 100% of the money will go toward keeping that artifact in good condition.

Different types of artifacts will have different adoption fees. It’s $250 for decorative art, $500 for quilt and textile, and $1,000 for historic costumes.

Development and marketing manager at the Kentucky Museum, Tiffany Isselhardt, said she’s glad the community can pitch in to help.

“We just absolutely love the support that the community shows to this museum and knowing that they care about the artifacts just as much as we do, it just makes my heart and the hearts of everyone who works here so happy. It lets us know that we’re doing great work and can continue to do that work,” Issellhardt said.
